History of Narrabeen
The word Narrabeen is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning swan. The suburb was first settled by Europeans in the 1800s and with the completion of the tram line to the suburb in the 1913, Narrabeen became a popular holiday and day trip destination for city folk looking to relax along the shores of the lakes and beaches.
